Kat Von D True Romance Angeles Palette - THOUGHTS and SWATCHES...

Kat Von D True Romance Angeles Palette   THOUGHTS and SWATCHES...

True Romance Eyeshadow Palette - Angeles
A smokey eye adds an instant air of mystery - create your own with the True Romance Eyeshadow Palette. Designed especially for Sephora by reality television star Kat Von D, this artistic spectrum of shades will bring a touch of edgy-glam to your look. The palette's sleek compact is stenciled with imagery inspired by an old-world romantic place and itself is a tattoo-inspired work of art.

This palette contains eight eyeshadows in:
- Venus (shimmer bronze)
- Leather (matte dark chocolate brown)
- Specimen (pearly medium brown)
- Rehab (pearly beige)
- Peggy (pearly turquoise)
- Bukowski (pearly aqua)
- Bellbottom (pearly slate blue)
- Morphine (cream iridescent white)

Size: 8 x 0.05 oz
Price: $15 (Original Price - $34)

The Kat Von D True Romance Eyeshadow Palette - Angeles is currently on sale and priced at $15 for the 0.4 oz of product (8 x 0.05 oz). This is about the same price or cheaper than other mid-to-high end brands single eyeshadows much less palettes. Even at full price this palette would still be cheaper than other comparable palettes. Check out the comparisons below:

The Kat Von D True Romance Eyeshadow Palette - Angeles is now on sale and available at Sephora stores and Sephora.com. The palette includes 8 eyeshadow shades (7 powder eyeshadows and 1 cream eyeshadow). There are a couple repeat shades from other Kat Von D Palettes such as Leather and Peggy.

The Kat Von D True Romance Eyeshadow Palette - Angeles is a true representation of the artistic side of Kat Von D and has been become a signature for her makeup packaging. The outer packaging is a white envelope style box with gold embellishments. Inside the lining is blue and the palette is protected in a sheet of silver tissue paper secured with a very cute Kat Von D sticker.

The Kat Von D True Romance Eyeshadow Palette - Angeles itself is a sleek white palette which is adorned with black tattoo images and a bright blue Kat Von D logo. The palette has a snap clasp which is very very secure and therefore makes these palettes ideal for travel. Inside each palette is a full sized mirror which is not usual for eyeshadow palettes and two dual brush-ended applicators. The applicators for me are throw-aways and not really functional at all. The palette is white so a bit of 'dirtying' may occur. But they are easily wiped down for sanitary purposes.

There are 8 colors in this palette - 6 shimmery shades, 1 matte shade and 1 cream eyeshadow/base. There are 4 neutral bronze/gold/brown shades followed by 3 teal/blue based colors and a shimmery white cream. There are a couple repeat shades from other Kat Von D Palettes such as Leather and Peggy so you may already have these shades if you are an avid Kat Von D fan.

The 4 neutral shades - Venus (shimmer bronze), Leather (matte dark chocolate brown), Specimen (pearly medium brown), and Rehab (pearly beige) - are richly pigmented and creamy and would be great for an everyday neutral look. They are mainly warm toned golden shades with a deeper crease shade for contouring. They blend really well and there is no fallout when pressed onto the lid.

The 3 colorful shades -  Peggy (pearly turquoise), Bukowski (pearly aqua), Bellbottom (pearly slate blue) - are gorgeous colors with great color payoff except for Bellbottom. You will definitely need a sticky base (like the cream eyeshadow that is included0 to get full color payoff from this shade. Peggy and Bukowski are gorgeous teals with great pigmentation that will melt your heart! They are not as smooth as the neutral shades as they have a slight chunky texture. However, they apply well with minimal fallout and blend nicely. The colors wear very well as with most Kat Von D eyeshadows and give good payoff with or without a primer (except for Bellbottom).

The cream eyeshadow, Morphine, is sheer white when blended out with finely milled iridescent glitter. It is sticky and creamy in texture and grabs well to the eyeshadows in the palette for more intense color payoff. If worn alone it will just give a sheer wash of glitter all over the lid....not too great. It will crease if not used with a primer and set with powder for those with oily skin. I still think it will crease on dry lids as well because it is so creamy.

This palette is a GREAT deal at $15 and has great colors for the neutral lover with a teal side :)
I say check this one out for sure!
